The Fall of America and The Western World 8+ hour DVD box set is a survival guide, documentary film and home study course all rolled into one. Two years in the making, the film commenced principle photography a full nine months before September 2008 -- the month the housing market bubble burst and the U.S. economy crumbled. While the recession/depression news was no cause for celebration, it did confirm what the filmmakers (despite skepticism from family and friends) had suspected when they began:
That regardless of what we hear each day on our TV sets and car radios ("We are rich, free and strong!"), America and the West may actually be broke, losing freedom, and frighteningly weak. So weak in fact that this country could, in our lifetime, fall.
Of course, no one including the filmmakers wants the collapse of America to continue. This film is not a love letter to financial carnage, the end of freedom, and government tyranny. Instead it is an intelligent and comprehensive plea to cure our financial, social, political and cultural disease. A disease that is, as of this writing, about to consume the entire body and end the American experiment with freedom and prosperity.
The days ahead will be challenging. To be sure, we will see things that we never thought possible: more bank failures, food lines, and hyper inflation; more job losses, government bankruptcy, rioting, and martial law; more police state; more wars to grab resources; less middle class; and more, much more, chaos. That said, we are only victims if we allow ourselves to become victims. We only live in fear if we let fear live.
This film's mission, therefore, is not to stoke fear but to empower, embolden and protect not just Americans and Europeans but We The People -- wherever we may live...
Meet the Filmmakers
Brian Kraft - Writer/Director/Producer
Brian Kraft started as a driver to legendary underground Filmmaker Julian Temple (Earth Girl's Are Easy, The Future is Unwritten) at Nitrate Films where he met the late great music video director D.J. Webster (Amy Grant, The Beach Boys). Webster took Kraft under his wing and mentored him in the art of directing and producing. After Webster's passing, Kraft went on to direct live concerts for Jane's Addiction, Cypress Hill, and Ozomatli. The Fall of America and the Western World is his third documentary film.
Kraft is not a liberal, conservative or moderate but a free man. He is a U.S. Citizen, student of the U.S. Constitution, and an admirer of the views expressed in the following books: "Revolution" by Ron Paul, "Ishmael" by Daniel Quinn, and "The Power of Now" by Eckhart Tolle. He is a great admirer of founding father Thomas Jefferson and is a student of U.S. History. He is obsessed with baseball, basketball, and good barbecue.
He is currently working to attain his PHD in psychology.
James Petulla - Producer
Petulla's feature film "Reversal" won best film at Robert DeNiro's IndieVision Tribeca Film Festival as well as "Best Film" at the Malibu Film Festival. It also won a DOVE Family Award. Set around the sport of high school wrestling, the movie is a family film that highlights the effectiveness of a father and son or mentor/apprentice relationship when it comes to sports. The film was praised and given two thumbs up by gold medalists Carl Lewis, Shannon Miller, and Kendall Cross. He has two sons and is raising them in California, along with their dogs Fred and Beatty.
